John, I still have not seen True Grit but I promise to get to it either Sunday or Monday night so that I can join the conversation. I've also added A Serious Man to my Netflix queue and will get it as soon as I watch and mail back Winter's Bone. Also, I'll be in the city and will miss game night this week.
Brandon, your childhood story will give you a temporary pass on missing Before Sunrise. I wish that anyone in my family was interested in movies and introduced me to them at a young age. Usually the common wisdom among other members of my family is that if I'm watching it, then it's probably weird, boring, stupid or a combination of all three.
Jason, Netflix has offered Teeth as a suggestion for me several times. I've always stayed away but it might just be one of those movies I eventually watch out of curiosity. When I was in college I went through a Godard phase. I have to admit that Breathless is probably one of my favorites. So is Bande à part. Which reminds me. Has anyone seen The Go Getter? I first watched it because I am in love with Jena Malone but ended up really liking it.
And in Gift Shop news, there are new doubts about where the credit belongs.
